You have 55 days to file a form: what day is your deadline? A bill is due on the first of June: how many days do you have? With Date Calculator from SJW Computer Resources, you'd know in a few clicks. It's a free tool that calculates the difference between two dates, or what day it was or will be on a certain date.

Date Calculator is portable freeware that requires no installation and can be run from a variety of locations, but it does come zipped. However, it remembers its screen position when you close it and reopen it later. Date Calculator is very easy to use. The interface features two basic tools, one for entering a number of days to see what day it will be and another to show the number of days, weeks, months, and years between two dates entered in identical calendar displays. The first tool can add or subtract days from a given date entered on the left-hand calendar display. We clicked the Add Days check box and entered a number of days in the input field. Date Calculator immediately displayed the future date, including the day of the week. A check box let us include or exclude weekends from calculations, which is great for work schedules.

Date CalculatorThe other tool is just as easy to use. We simply entered our start date in the left-hand calendar and our target date on the right, and Date Calendar displayed the number of days in every combination of days, weeks, months, and years. We could enter a date directly into a calendar or scroll to it; buttons along the bottom let us jump rapidly forward and back year by year or decade by decade. The menu bar let us save dates for the program to open with, check for updates, set defaults, access the Help file, and minimize or exit Date Calculator. There's one other menu item, Easter Calculations. Clicking this let us calculate Easter Week dates for any selected year in a small pop-up.

Whether you need it every day or just a few times a year, Date Calculator is a useful tool to have around.
